It’s been a while since my last blog post, for those of you who follow me, I apologise but I have been up to my eyebrows with work commitments and travelling but boy do I have a lot to talk about.
I think before I delve into the multiple blog posts that I feel like writing, I will write about the main issue that is on my mind. The Agenda!
I know many of you who read my blog posts are all too aware of the political agenda in Scotland, but how many of you are ‘truly’ aware of it?
What I mean by this is, how many of you can actually see the spin and deceit by the Unionist parties and how many of you are actively calling it out?
It’s all well and good being able to see it, but unless you talk about it amongst your family, friends or on your social media platforms, you won’t be very effective.
If you look back to when you recognised the ‘agenda’ you will notice that the only real reason you did realise that agenda was ongoing was because of other people telling you. I don’t mean Mrs Smith from down the road, but I mean alternative media and social media.
You can be that alternative media…you can be that social media.
If every one of us managed to convert one person to Yes, Independence would be won in a heartbeat, but we know that’s not possible, so instead what we must do is plant seeds.
If you tweet or post on Facebook something that you see that makes you think, “Hang on a minute”, take the 10 seconds to retweet it or comment on it on Facebook.
The more you do it, the more you will spread that agenda and help awaken just one person. You likely won’t awaken them to Yes, but even getting them closer to the fence is a major step.
Think 100 monkeys…
The more people realise, the more people start to question. The more people start to question, the more they realise.
People ask me why I blog and why I went onto Twitter.
That’s why! To help make a tiny difference, because all of us collectively making a tiny difference amounts to a major difference.
I want to be that difference, I want to be one of those people who is old and frail talking about the days Scotland achieved independence and what I did to help.
The agenda, to me at least is as clear as day. Everywhere I look I see Unionist parties using the SNP or Scotland as a means of squashing that awakening. Their leverage is the mainstream media. Our leverage is ourselves and social media.
So when you hear them talking about controlling social media, question it and stand against it. They want to control it so that they can control the agenda. Too much information being handed down to the ‘peasants’ causes a problem for those who control the peasants.
So the next time you watch the news, or read a paper that talks against Scotland (not just the SNP), look at the bigger picture and try to fathom why.
You will conclude for yourself as I have done that the why is simply because Scotland being independent breaks the Union and removes Scotland’s GDP from the UK Treasury. It really is as simple as that.
They say we are subsidised, but if we were, we would be let go.
Would you keep paying for someone to live a better life than yourself?
