Our children will look back at these days as taught in their History classes as a time in which it nearly all went pear shaped…at least that’s what I hope they will be taught.

I ran a Twitter poll on Saturday and the results are in. Bear in mind that it wasn’t possible to have more than four options so I ran with the four most likely (option 4 being achieved post two years in the ERM with our own currency and an ‘adequate’ deficit).

So before I start on this blog post, let me make something clear. This is a post about why I believe we have made a collective error in judgement by ‘resetting’ the legislative plan for Indyref2.

So Scotland you have allowed the Wolves to come out to play…
This will be interesting to see where this ends up. I predict 3 possible different scenarios:
- Yes comes together, stronger but under a ‘grass roots’ banner
- Yes comes together, weaker but under the SIC/SNP and Green banner
- Yes splits, weaker under a ‘grass roots’ and SIC/SNP and Green banner
It’s never really sat well with me how the mainstream media, union supporters and SNP opponents use the word nationalist when referring to Independence voters. It’s become a bit of a nick name with a negative connotation to it.
I understand that the SNP are the Scottish NATIONAL Party, however, I don’t like calling myself a nationalist. I much prefer calling myself a patriot. Continue reading
